Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Dr. Fayer now offers telemedicine services which eliminates the need for a face-to face visit. Telemedicine sessions give you the benefit of not having to travel to the office which is important at this time of heightened risk of acquiring the infection. Dr. Fayer uses simple technology to conduct his sessions. It takes only a few minutes to establish a link via your smartphone, tablet or computer. Dr. Fayer uses Face-Time, Zoom or Doxy.me which is a secure HIPPA compliant site.
While some people may be reluctant or feel awkward talking to person on a screen, experience shows most people are comfortable with it. Although the patient and the Psychiatrist are not in the same room, some people may feel more relaxed and willing to open up from the comfort of their home or other convenient location.
